Case Study: Therma Corporation

 

Highlands Construction Software and the Therma Corporation of San Jose, California

 

Therma was founded in 1967.  The company focus has been mechanical contracting for industrial, commercial, and biomedical users.  Therma is housed in a 280,000 square foot facility on 16 acres in San Jose, California.

 

The Therma Corporation is an incredible company to work with.  They are innovative and provide their customers with a wide range of services including engineering, process piping, clean rooms, sheet metal manufacturing, plumbing, quality control, and service.  Therma also produces a manufactured product line.

 

When Highlands Construction Software first spoke with Therma, they were using an older DOS based estimating software package.  They had evaluated other Windows based estimating systems to replace the DOS based package, and found that none would meet their needs.

 

Highlands spent a few days with the estimators at Therma.  Some changes were made in the software to accommodate their needs.  Since that time, their product managers have started to use Highlands as well.

 

Therma is a success story for Highlands in that Highlands was able to quickly put the best solution in place for the customer.  Little training was needed.  Highlands’ goal is to provide the easiest solution possible while implementing the strongest capabilities.
